SKANA  is a 2021 Nimbus Commuter 11 (C11) that truly defines the term “Better Than New”.  She was carefully specified by her knowledgeable owner who attended the factory to work through every detail of this thoughtfully optioned boat.  Post delivery, a series of upgrades were made and a custom winter cover commissioned for the boat. 

The C11 is an incredibly practical and well thought out boat.  A multi-purpose, rugged and fast platform for those who use the water as their method of transportation year-round.  Her multi stepped hull provides performance and fuel economy at a variety of cruising speeds up to 44 knots.  The clever layout allows for a very comfortable master berth, a mid-cabin with a double berth, a head with a separate shower stall and a well laid out galley.  She truly stands apart from other boats in her class with her volume, headroom and amenities for a cruising family. 

The spacious wheelhouse with it’s numerous overhead hatches coupled with the expansive windshield and side windows provide unparalleled brightness and visibility.  At slightly over 40 ft in length and carrying a beam of 11’4” the C11 also has surprisingly high freeboard making for deep and secure side decks.  Being a Nimbus, there are numerous guard and grab rails throughout the exterior and interior of the boat.  Large opening side doors afford easy access to the wide walk around side decks to allow for comfortable and safe docking and boat management under way. 

There are a series of outside sitting areas on the boat including a bench seat and sun pad forward where the stowable exterior table can be deployed.  Aft, there is comfortable bench seat that incorporates a practical fender holder behind its backrest.  In the main cabin a very clever seating arrangement provides for forward facing seats for 9 with the aft two seats converting into a comfortable dining arrangement with it’s signature Nimbus table. 

The craftsmanship and build quality of the Nimbus sets her apart, with attention to detail in every single aspect of construction from lamination, propulsion, electrical, high quality teak woodwork and robust stainless fittings and railings.   These are the sorts of practical details that are the core of the Nimbus design teams approach that make life on board so much easier and enjoyable.   

Powered by twin 350 HP Mercury Verado engines, the current owner cruises the boat very comfortably in most sea states between 23 to 29 knots and attains 44 knots top speeds in calmer seas with the boat fully loaded. 

SKANA is a very lightly used, meticulously maintained, low hour example of this popular Nimbus model that truly deserves your attention.
