2018 Beneteau Figaro 3

The Beneteau Figaro 3 has the distinction of being the first production, foiling, one design monohull. A result of the collaboration between VPLP and Beneteau, the Beneteau Figaro 3 improves on its predecessor with foils that increase lift and reduce leeway, an optimised slender and deeper keel, no need for water ballast, a more extensive sail plan, which all adds up to a significant 15% increase in performance. ‘Castor’ has been optimised and tailor made for short-handed offshore racing with the addition of extra performance enhancing features including:

The Beneteau Figaro 3 (previously known as “A Fond La Girafon”) has been true to its racing pedigree, winning Line Honors in the 2018 Pacific Cup and competing in Transpac 2019. More recently she has been raced double-handed close to her home in Long Beach, California  in the SoCal 300, and Santa Barbara to King Harbor Race.

‘Castor’ the Beneteau Figaro 3 comes with an extensive sail inventory, including brand new main sail, J1/2, and A2 (Incidence, 2023).
