Manufacturer Provided Description

The Pacific Seacraft 44 is designed and built with emphasis on cruising safely and in comfort. Significant design modifications give the 44 uncommon balance in a yacht this size, with a reassuring motion even in heavy conditions. Designed as the ultimate cruising sailboat for the serious cruising sailor, she can accept virtually all cruising accessories currently available, such as fresh water makers, generators and today's modern electronic equipment. Belowdecks is a warm blend of rich hand-finished teak and designer fabrics. There is a full J-shaped gourmet galley - good for entertaining, yet functional at sea - two private staterooms, and a main salon you can be proud to live in. The Crealock "canoe" stern, admired for its esthetics, offers necessary reserve buoyancy without presenting too much surface to following seas. The stern has more effect on the motion of a yacht than the bow, and in breaking following seas the stern will perform like a bow.

On Deck

On a passage, more time is spent on deck, so crew safety and comfort on the Pacific Seacraft 44 has been considered as important as the hull shape and underbody.  Security for the crew going forward in rough sees is greatly enhanced with 6"inch high bulwarks that totally enclose the deck, 30" inch high stainless steel rails and sturdy double lifelines.  Custom teak caprails beautifully finish off the bulwarks.  On the stemhead, a heavy stainless steel fitting, thru-bolted to the hull and deck, and fully bedded and backplated, houses dual anchor rollers with lock pins to secure the anchors. Just below deck is an extra large divided chain locker.  This arrangement provides for carrying two anchors and their rodes, made up and ready for use.
