1936 Lake Washington Shipyard 110 Motor Yacht

Oakland, California

$250,000

Fathom Ventures acquired the ship in late 2018. Full time crew worked aboard and professional engineers restored all the ships systems. All engines are serviced every year and before chartering with new oil, filters and any needed upgrades including full strainer and raw water systems. Sacajawea carries 8000 gallons of fuel providing ~5000 miles of range.

The engine room and compartment have been fully painted and detailed. Every surface has been cleaned and painted, both interior and exterior with multiple applications where necessary. The entire ship has been restored to its launch color scheme of 1936 which was presidentially ordered "dress white".

The ship was chartered to Alaska in 2021 for 4 months and charters regularly in the Bay Area. New industrial freezers, refrigerators, ice maker and water filtration were added throughout the ship. The ship carries 6000 gallons of potable water. The ship's galley is fully outfitted and often delivers 60 gourmet meals per day to support crew and guests.

The ship has been upgraded with a 30kW Victron inverter system supplying 3 phase power to all ships systems and powered by generators, main engine alternator or solar power as preferred. This allows the ship to operate silently at anchor for 30-40 hours and eliminates the need for an auxiliary generator to be used underway, reducing fuel consumption by 20% and operational noise by 50%.

The ship includes 6 discrete WIFI networks supporting data, movies and custom selected music throughout the ship as well as WIFI calling and receiving below decks out to 20 miles offshore. The salon is a full surround sound home theater with streaming and 600 DVD library and 65” display. There are 2 new Raymarine radars and touch screen Axiom MFD's on the bridge as well as an independent loud hailer system for signaling and very loud music outdoors. The ship operates a series A commercial AIS 24 hours a day with all info injected into both radar and chart plotters. The ship has an excellent autopilot system with both magnetic and gyroscopic compass options. All of these systems have been used under full charter cruising conditions in Alaska and the US west coast.

Sixty amps of solar panels were recently added along with a 25 person open water life raft and new EPIRB.

The ship includes a 20' RIB launch "Roberta" cruising at 25knts with and inboard Volvo 4 cyl diesel and duo prop outdrive. She is deployed by our 7 ton industrial crane which has been fully serviced and upgraded with new steel cable and stainless hard lines.

Many other improvements have been made. The ship was repainted last quarter (2023) including a new Davlin elastomeric 3 part deck treatment and Le Tonk 6 coat Varnishing on all brightwork.

Sacajawea is a gem of an opportunity for anyone looking for a historic adventure opportunity.
