Recent Upgrades and Maintenances

Installed a galvanic isolator. New feed wiring for shore power to inverter/charger.

Installed new US style inverter/charger.

The DC power system work done to date has been done with the idea being, getting the heavy gauge elements up to spec and correctly colored. (Code) Then also configured so that if needed down the road the house bank could be converted over to Lithium batteries with the required isolation from the engine battery, etc. issues already worked through.

Installed engine battery switch.

New house battery feed cables, correctly sized and colored.

Removed bow thruster was returned to service with new switches at the helm and new dedicated bow thruster battery added.

Wired in existing charger to engine and thruster battery.

Installed new and larger gauge control wiring for the helm to the bow thruster.

Installed a 150A breaker for the windlass DC power feed.

Installed the supplied solar charge controller. The Solar panels were then deployed and the system once proven, was left operational.

Some general first pass cleaning inside and out.

The deck area was squared away with loose running rigging coiled and stowed.

The mildew was washed off the sails and the boat cleaned up.

The main sail was raised to let the large amount of trapped water drain, then left to completely dry out. This prevented any further mold growth. Then the main was re secured with the boom raised at the aft end, to allow future rain water to drain away.

Rigging checked and tightened.

All of the hatches opening to the outside were checked and left secured. Dried out the area and items stowed at the Aft storage lockers.

Removed Dometic fridge which didn’t work as well as the the old generator along with other non-functioning components.

Mast and standing rigging was inspected and tuned in 2021.
