Aphrodite Blues is an absolutely gorgeous raised pilothouse motor-sailor in fantastic condition.

It is very rare to find a Nauticat 44 with such a wonderful schooner rig that reminds us of all those old sailing adventure movies full of romance and even maybe a little swashbuckling. I feel like a modern day Jack Sparrow or Captain Ron every time I step foot on this substantial and stable cruiser which is rigged for easy short handed sailing!

Thoughtfully designed by Kaj Gustafsson and built to extremely high standards by Siltala Yachts of Finland, Aphrodite Blues is well equipped to serve as a very safe and capable blue water cruiser or comfortable live-aboard.

Well maintained and lovingly updated, she shines with pride of ownership from bow to stern. The original bowsprit pulpit was rebuilt and refinished with AwlWood a few months ago, while the last of the teak decks was replaced with fiberglass and coated with AwlGrip in September 2019.  The updated galley features blue and white Talavera tiles, large single sink, and a new 12-volt front opening Isotherm cruising refrigerator.  A Splendide 210 Combo Washer/Dryer and a larger 6-gpm water heater makes life aboard even more convenient, while updated electrical allows for plenty of places to recharge electronics and computers.   In short, she offers a great combination of traditional elegance with enough modern updates to please a new generation of cruisers. Best of all, she’s “turnkey” and ready to go. . . anywhere.

Outside, you’ll find wide side decks and large bow and stern areas to enjoy your days at sea or at anchor as well as an upper helm that provides a commanding 360 degree view from a high position.

Inside you find a warm and inviting pilothouse, equipped with a huge retractable sunroof, a large comfortable L-shaped settee and lower helm which is great for escaping wet and cold weather underway or a nice place to read your favorite book and enjoy the 270 degree view. Forward of the pilothouse, you’ll find a large salon and ample galley for entertaining followed by the forward cabin and head. As you go aft (beyond the pilothouse) you find a full beam master cabin with a queen sized bed with ensuite head and separate shower. Being a raised pilothouse cruiser affords a lot more room than a tradtional aft or center cockpit boat. traversing forward or aft is made easy as there are only a few steps and no ladders (great for children, dogs and people with mobility issues). 

To sum it up, Aphrodite Blues can fulfill several different needs a boater may have while looking real cool doing it.
