The boat was purchased Canada in 2018. It had an alternator problem with smoke damage
some 10 years prior to this and a tremendous amount of insurance work done.
This included:
Rebuilt engines
New electrical
New plumbing
New windows
New hatches
New windlass
New inverter
New dinghy
New propane system housed in outside locker with a fume sniffer
New hydronic diesel furnace and more.
The boat was brought down by the owners without incident.
The owners replaced the Honda 2000 generator with a Honda 3000 with a remote start. This works fantastically with the electrical system on the boat and is quiet, a lot more so than the 2000.
They also had Rodgers Marine install a brand new Raymarine autopilot. They also updated the steering so that is all new as well.
They also bought brand new props so as to have a 2nd set and still have the old ones.
Electronic tachs and optical sensors were installed. You can synchronize the engines at the same RPM's.
The vast majority of 12v lights were replaced with LED inside and out.
Wipers were replaced and a delay and intermittent system were installed, which works very well.
Replaced with factory new marine exhaust manifolds. Whole system ceramic coated as recommended by Boat Diesel for
longevity. The manifolds on the Port engine much newer and look great.
Starboard oil heat exchanger for the transmission was replaced with a custom unit.
Everything was taken down in the windlass area, rebuilt, strengthened all the way back to the forward center cleat.
The boat went into Rocky Point Boatyard and had bottom paint, several thru hulls replaced because of an older design in fall of 2021.
Replaced fridge, Is an AC type and works well with the inverter.
Every year the oil is changed, and all oil and fuel filters replaced.
Installed bracing and hardware to have a nice swim ladder off of the starboard side making reboarding from the water super easy. Ladder installs in seconds. There is still the original
ladder on the port side as well.
Water heater was replace
Inverter fans replaced
Detroit Diesel engines average somewhere between 1.5 and 2 miles per gallon.
The boat is quite heavy for a 38 with a solid fiberglass hull. No blisters and no history of such from previous owner.
