Jason has been in, on, and around the water all of his life. Growing up in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, he always had an interest in the water and started surfing and fishing at a young age. Free diving and tooling around on boats as a kid was a natural part of his evolution into a waterman. After high school, Jason moved to Cape Town, where he began working as a first mate aboard a 60ft charter sailboat, doing sailing tours to Robben Island and surrounds.
After a few years of that and some local deliveries and sailboat racing, Jason began delivering brand new Farr 72 sailboats from Cape Town to the Mediterranean. During these years, he would also work aboard 100ft+ yachts as a First Officer, often involved in charter work in the Mediterranean and US east coast. After years of Atlantic Ocean deliveries and working on private mega-yachts, Jason settled in Florida and started a family.
Through the following years, he has been involved in luxury yacht maintenance, marine electrical/electronics/systems, boatyard management, and new builds, until finally starting W S Yacht Brokers LLC to put all of his years at sea and technical knowledge to good use serving the Pacific Northwest Yachting and Boating communities. Jason is a broker that can step onboard a vessel with his clients, and not only walk through the boat layouts and features, but can give sound technical advice and has knowledge of build quality.

Cheri has been in the nautical arena since '96, working in vessel sales, as a webmaster, and as a web designer. Over the decades she has been involved in the sales of a wide range of power and sailing vessels, as well as boathouses in the Pacific Northwest. She is a current member of TYEE Yacht Club, Riverside Yacht Club, and of CRYA . She is also a Webmaster for various local Yacht Clubs, Columbia River Yachting Association, and a long list of organizations & businesses.
Her love for boating began in her early life, cruising on various power boats, and sailboats on the Columbia River, Puget Sound, San Juan Islands and the Sea of Cortez. One of the most rewarding parts of vessel sales for Cheri, is getting to know her clients on a personal level and understanding what it is they need in a vessel. She finds particular gratification in fitting clients with the right boats for their needs, whether it be a fishing boat, small pocket cruiser, cabin cruiser, pilothouse or a large luxury cruiser.

John has been a boating enthusiast since he was 12, and has sailed and motored the waters of the Pacific Northwest, as well as various other exotic locations. He has owned several boats since 1979 starting with a 12' row boat, various sailboats from 14' to 27' and currently owns a 40' Seaquest Trawler that he is refitting. He earned his journeyman status as a furniture/cabinet maker in 1985 and then parlayed that into yacht construction in 1990 starting at Christensen Shipyards. John spent the last 17 years of his time at Christensen, as a project manager overseeing the entire build process from Client negotiation, to design, to construction and delivery. His knowledge and experience in yachting industry, mega yacht construction, and project management arenas is immense, and along with his boating experience make him a great asset to his clients, as well as the team at W S!
